The second week of class we will begin the mesas de
conversación & La Tertulia. The
mesas are led by native speakers (typically students from our partner
institutions in Spain and/or Mexico) and will be held in the Language Resource
Center (Lab) in Studio Arts 355. (Yes,
we have a ‘lab’...it’s a bit outdated, but we are in the process of planning an
extreme makeover for it!!)
La Tertulia is a weekly informal conversation hour at the
Phoenix Club (Thursdays @ 4:30PM) organized by the Spanish faculty and other campus
staff interested in speaking the language. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun
regardless of proficiency level!
